Transneft PCD, acting as a technical customer, has started assembling metalwork for a mainline pumping station at Novovelichkovskaya PS-3 in Krasnodar Territory. The space of the facility under construction will amount to 648 sq. m. The works are part of a two-phase project for Revamping the Novovelichkovskaya–Krasnodar Oil Trunk Pipeline for Crude Oil Transportation to Refineries of Krasnodar Territory.
The first phase of the project includes the construction of the PS-3 booster pumping station, which will increase Novovelichkovskaya PS’s territory by 26,600 sq. m. The second phase provides for construction of the line portion of an oil pipeline offshoot from the Tikhoretsk–Novorossiysk-2 and Tikhoretsk–Novorossiysk-3 oil trunk pipelines down to Ilsky and Afipsky refineries.
The expansion of Novovelichkovskaya PS’s territory commenced in January 2018. As of today, the foundation of the fire extinguishing pumping station has been laid; variable frequency converter enclosures, factory-assembled switchgear and searchlight towers as well as oil and drainage leakage recovery tanks have been installed.
Perimeter fencing is currentlty being placed around the new territory, excavation is underway to build foundations for fire water tanks having the total capacity of 600 m3. Piping of mud trap filters and PIG traps is coming to an end. Overall, 130 people and 15 vehicles are working at the construction site.
Construction of the line portion of the Novovelichkovskaya–Krasnodar oil pipeline offshoot commenced in January 2018. The plan calls for construction of a 56.51 km long oil trunk pipeline, the pipe diameter being 530 mm. The section will run through the territories of Abinsk and Seversk districts of Krasnodar Territory. As of today, more than 39 km of pipes have been welded and about 31 km of pipeline have been laid. More than 14 km of ditch trench have been backfilled. Assembly of a PIG trap has been launched at the zero kilometer.
The construction and installation works of both phases of the project are scheduled to be completed in August 2019.
