Transneft - Pipeline Construction Directorate (Transneft PCD) is celebrating the fifth anniversary of the beginning of its activities. This Transneft subsidiary was established in 2013 to implement oil transportation facilities’ construction and reconstruction programmes.
Since its foundation, the Directorate has completed construction and installation works at 28 onsite facilities and built more than 2,300 km of trunk pipelines, their diameters ranging from 377 to 1,220 mm.
As a technical customer, the Company has implemented large-scale projects in the field of pipeline transportation: reconstruction of sections of the Kuibyshev – Lisichansk oil trunk pipelines and reconstruction of the Tikhoretsk – Novorossiysk oil trunk pipeline within the first phase of the Yug Project. The Volgograd – Tikhoretsk oil trunk pipeline was constructed within the second phase of the Yug Project.
A number of onsite facilities have been reconstructed: Krotovka line operation dispatcher station (LODS) in Samara Region; Tikhoretskaya oil transshipment depot, Krymskaya LODS and Grushovaya site in Krasnodar Territory. Volgograd and Tinguta initial pumping stations and a railway loading rack have been built in Volgograd Region. In addition, Transneft has completed construction of a plant producing electric motors in Chelyabinsk as part of the import substitution programme.
To date, the number of Russian regions where Transneft PCD operates has increased from 5 to 23. The Directorate supervises construction and reconstruction of facilities located in Samara, Saratov, Volgograd, Rostov, Ulyanovsk, Penza, Tambov, Lipetsk, Orel, Bryansk, Chelyabinsk, Vladimir, Ivanovo, Kurgan, Nizhny Novgorod, Orenburg, Ryazan and Moscow Regions, as well as in Moscow, in Krasnodar Territory and the republics of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan and Mari El. There is an approved plan for construction projects up to 2026.
Transneft PCD has been recognised as the best quality construction company among Transneft subsidiaries and received the title of Construction Leader 2017, rising from second place it had ascended to in the previous year.
